Chemists make new materials, create revolutionary drugs, develop sensors for the Mars Rover, and are working on solutions to our most pressing issues – alternative energy, biodegradable plastics, pollution control, climate change, on-the-spot disease diagnosis, solar energy conversion, and curing cancer.
